East Frisia is unthinkable without tea and so the tradition is maintained here in Ammerland. The East Frisian tea time, the so-called "Teetied", is more than just drinking tea. It is an important part of socializing and is therefore incorporated into everyday life several times a day.
The traditional "Elführtje"
Traditionally, in addition to the correct preparation of the tea with soft water from the region, "Kluntje" (rock candy) and cream as "Wulkje" (little clouds) are part of the tea ceremony.
